If you know me

If you know me...
you would know that I'd rather go hiking than bowling,
you would know that I try to be as real as I can,
you would know that I try to make something before I buy it,
you would know that I freaking love ksl,
you would know that I love my four chickens and I don't give a crap that my rooster wakes my neighbors up every morning.
you would know that I have a horse saddle but no horse,
you would know that I will one day own a farm,
you would know that I will live far away from people when I'm older,
you would know that I'll die with my boots on, I'll make sure of it,
you would know that I love God and all of his creations,
anddddd ya. Im not sure how to end this. I'm James Burns.

I remember

I remember when life was as simple,
waking up when you please to a meal and warm hugs,
I remember when the words you said had no affect on peoples feelings,
you were to young and innocent to be taken seriously,
I remember when we had no doubts,
when we believed everything.
I remember when knowledge didn't matter,
but rather your heart.

If God gave me heart surgery,

He would see that I couldn't give less of a crap about what you're wearing and care more about what you're saying, He would see that I would rather be out of the toxic bubble that I live in and actually see the world. He would see that I care more about the ones I love than anything else. He would see that I would rather work with my hands than my brain. He would see that I love gods creations, He would see the way I feel for those that sit alone at lunch, he would see why I don't go and say hi to them, he would see why I feel that it would hurt them even more, He would see that  i DO FEEL, He would see why I refuse to show it, He would see why I'm afraid to say it, He would see why I love the way I do, He would see my reasons for not wanting to love, He would see my fears, He would see why i can't, He would see why i must, He would see when, He will see why i pray the way i do, he would see why hope the way i do, He would see.
    Nature

The only place you can be where the stresses of society don't scratch at your front door,
Where your problems seem to fade away as the sounds of birds seem to stream in,
A place that is constantly under attack by steel and dollar bills,
The place where you can be alone but not,
because Gods marks are everywhere you just have to see them
The only place that hasn't been polluted by the world,
The only place that is perfectly imperfect,
The trees don't have all the leaves,
The dirt has rocks and twigs in it,
The air smells like pine and mud,
The water isn't as clear as it could be,
The birds don't sing in sync,
it's far from perfect, but it's not supposed to be.
And thats why it is.

 Death

A step into the void, a leap into the dark,

this is what it may seem to some of you,

But a life will never end,

I don't care if your an atheist or christian take a look at YOURSELF,

YOU are unique,  you are your own individual,

you are too complex to just end, after all how can all this be over,

but death, death is like the rising sun,

it always comes but you never know when it will wake you up,

like the birds flying south we don't know for sure where they go, but they leave,

But don't lose hope, just because something is lost doesn't mean that it cannot be found,

All we can do is wonder,

All we can do is feel,

All we can do is think,

and no I can't answer all your questions,

But why stress about your questions when you have forever to find the answers.
